One Self Insured Group Plan Story:  A 10 Year Journey

SachsRob Sachs Chief Operating Officer, Dalby, Wendland & Co., P.C.
Learn about the journey of a business’s self funded plan – what went right and what to watch out for

About Rob Sachs
Before starting his journey with health plans, Rob was a water-boy for his Dad’s sports teams, weeded John Fischer’s apple trees in 110 degree summers, and finally ended this part of his career helping Mr. Reynolds clear out the bats in his barn.  None of those experiences helped him be drafted by the Denver Broncos, so he moved on to business.

For  the past 40 years,  Rob has managed strategy and operations for several medical, accounting, and law firms.  In 2004 he became Chief Operating Officer for Dalby, Wendland & CO, PC, a regional public accounting firm, with offices in Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs, and Montrose.

Rob and his wife, Moira, met in college and have been dating every since.  They have two children and a four year old grandson.  After each energy filled visit by their  grandson, they are always left wondering, “what in the world just happened?”  Sort of like being plan administrator for a self-insured health plan…

What Rob will talk about:  One Self Insured Group Plan Story: A 10 Year Journey

  • Do You Like Adventure? —  Sometimes It Depends On Where You Want To Go
  • Who’s With You?  —  Your Outcome Will  Depend On It
  • How Do You Know What You Don’t Know? – Bring A Survival Kit
  • You’ve  Made It To The  Top, Now What? – Back to Base Camp
